Solaris Flares Blast ULTRA Fest Miami
One-third of a million attendees from over 80 countries attended the 15th Annual ULTRA Music Festival this month at Miami’s Bayfront Park. For six consecutive days, the show features the best in electronic dance music, including live appearances by Swedish House Mafia, deadmau5, and many more.
“Subtle electro-house music” is an oxymoron, and at this year’s ULTRA Fest the sensory experience is made more outrageous than ever with the use of 77 Solaris Flare combination wash/strobe/blinders on the main stage. Already seen on the Oscars and Grammy Awards shows, as well as Kenny Chesney and Cat Power tours, the new, incredibly bright Solaris Flare is a wash, strobe, color scroller, and blinder with 1000-Watt brightness – simultaneously in ONE fixture!
“The economy of the Solaris Flare is indisputable,” says Richard Neville of Mandy Lights. “A single Flare replaces a bunch of gear, labor, cables, truck space, and power which means significant savings in production costs. And we couldn’t be happier with the performance. It’s brighter than anything out there, with richer colors to boot!”
Collaborative design efforts of Richard Neville of Mandy Lights, Bruce Rodgers of Tribe, Inc., James Klein of James Klein Events, and others have resulted in what the Miami Herald calls “the most technically advanced and largest concert stage designs in history.”
